What we do
Weathered wood, mildew and existing finishes need to be assessed before a deck or fence is cleaned. Jackson checks the boards, coatings and access before selecting a treatment. Cleaning can improve appearance, but it does not repair rot, replace damaged boards or restore every worn finish.

Cracks, checking, discoloration and other age-related conditions may remain after cleaning.

Cleaning may be only one part of preparation. Stripping, brightening or sanding may also be needed.

Common questions
Will cleaning make the wood smooth?
A smooth or like-new finish is not guaranteed. Existing texture may remain, and raised grain may need additional preparation.
Will the original color come back?
Cleaning can remove surface buildup, but weathering, old finishes and uneven exposure affect the result. It is not a replacement for staining.
When can I stain afterward?
Follow the stain manufacturer’s preparation and moisture requirements. Drying depends on the wood and weather, so a fixed number of days is not a guarantee.
Can you clean vinyl fences and metal sheds?
Yes. Include the material, size and condition in your request so the appropriate scope can be discussed.
